Day 1: Ho Chi Minh city – Arrival

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport. Transocean’s staff will pick you up and support you to obtain Vietnam visa. Then, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 2: Mekong Delta – My Tho, Ben Tre (B,L)

08:00 Pick up at your hotel and departing to the Mekong Delta is My Tho, 84 km from Ho Chi city. On arrival at My Tho of Tien Giang Province, go for sightseeing Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest Buddhist temples in Tien Giang Province, has a unique architectural construction and subtle as a mixed Asian architecture in Europe. Then, you’ll board a boat cruising through beautiful river, you will see daily activities of local people along the river. Enjoy cruise to the orchard islets where tropical fruits can be found and tasted. Roaming to the village around and observing how people make the living from fruits trees such as: coconut, collect honey at local gardens, and you can taste it with lemon and tea while you enjoy the South’s traditional music performed by locals. Have a lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, enjoy your own time (biking, walking to the village or relaxing on the hammock). We will then return. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3: Cu Chi Tunnels (B,L)

08:00 Start the day with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Stretching over 250 km, Cu Chi is one of the most famous and historical aspects of war in Viet Nam. The tunnel system was created in 1948 to assist the Viet Minh as they fought the French for independence and became legendary during the 1960’s in playing a vital role in the Viet Nam War by allowing the Viet Cong (communist guerrillas) to control large rural areas, just 65 km away from Ho Chi Minh City. Then, have a lunch at restaurant. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh city tour – Da Nang by flight (B,L)

After breakfast, we will visit some of the other major attractions in HCMC: the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office… Have lunch at restaurant. Then, transfer to airport for a flight to Da Nang (without guide). Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 5: Marble Mountain & and Son Tra Peninsula (B,L)

09:00 transfer to Marble Moutain, you will have the opportunity to explore the stunning natural caves of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the mountain. We will also visit the mysterious pagodas and the sculpturing village. On Son Tra mountain, there still remain more than 30 sq. km. of natural forests, nearly 300 types of plants and several hundred kinds of fauna, including rare animal, especially monkey which is why Son Tra Mountain is also called “Monkey Mountain”. The scenery is very attractive. It is said that fairies usually chose this place for landing, singing, dancing and playing chess. Before getting back to the hotel, we head to Linh Ung Pagoda. The pagoda is located on the hill, with the shape of turtle. Have lunch and free time in the afternoon. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 6: Hoi An Ancient Town Walking Tour (B,L)

Check out. Transfer to Hoi An to exploring Hoi An on foot is one of the best ways to absorb the beauty of this city. Visits to Hoi An’s Museum, many of the town’s renowned Ancient Houses which boast remarkable architecture, Assembly Halls of Chinese influence, a handicraft workshop, and of course the Japanese Covered Bridge. Have lunch. Back to the hotel, have a leisure of time. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7: My Son Sanctuary (B,L)

After breakfast, a visit to the My Son Sanctuary is an experience that should not be missed while visiting the beautiful city of Hoi An. My Son has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. During a time spanning from the 4th to 8th centuries, when Tra Kieu (then known as Simhapura) served as the political capital of Champa, My Son was the site of the most important Cham intellectuals and a religious centre. It is also believed that this site could have been used as a place of burial for Cham monarchs. My Son is considered to be Cham’s counterpart to the grand cities of South-East Asia’s other Indian influenced civilizations: Angkor (Cambodia), Bagan (Myanmar), Ayuthaya (Thailand), and Borobudur (Java). Have lunch. Back to the hotel, have a leisure of time. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An – Hue Imperial City (B,L)

Check out, transfer to Hue. We will visit the Citadel, Hue’s prime attraction, which contains the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Emperor’s Private Residence. Following the morning activities, we will have a short break for lunch and afterward, we will take a boat trip on the Perfume River with a stopover at Thien Mu Pagoda. Considered by many as the unofficial symbol of Hue, Thien Mu is an active Buddhist monastery with origins dating back to 1601. One of its most poignant displays is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its cruel treatment of Buddhist monks and followers. From here, we will go to visit the serene Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, designed to blend in with its natural surroundings and built on principles of feng-shui. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue – DMZ tour Vinh Moc tunnel, Khe Sanh combat base (B,L)

After breakfast,  start this DMZ tour to depart to Dong Ha town. First stop to visit the Rockpile, Dakrong Bridge, Ho Chi Minh trails on the way to to Khe Sanh combat base – one of the violent battles in Quang Tri, one US base fell under attack in early 1968. You’ll also see the remaining of an old airfield. Visit the museum of Ta Con airport to see the things in nature of the fierce war, and how hard Quang Tri people fight against the enemy. Have lunch at restaurant. Afternoon, continue along the highway 1, you also learn about the history of old citadel of Quang Tri, stop at Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River – which marked the former border between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1972. Next stop to visit Vinh Moc tunnels – a network of tunnels built by villagers seeking shelter from bombings during the American War, this is the place where an entire village lived and fought for two and a half years. Back to Hue. Overnight in Hue.

Day 10: Hue – Hanoi by flight (B,L)

Have breakfast, free time until transfer (without the guide) to the airport and take the flight to Ha Noi. Check-in and overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 11: Ha Noi city tour – Hoa Lo Prison (B, L)

09:00 After breakfast, start a day tour and enjoy beautiful landmarks in Ha Noi. Visit president Ho Chi Minh museum; One Pillar Pagoda – a group of structures consisting of a pagoda and a tower built in the middle of a square lake; the Temple of Literature (The first Imperial School in Vietnam), Hoan Kiem Lake, The Red – painted wooden and the Huc Bridge… Have lunch. Then visiting Ethnology Museum where you have great chance to know about culture, custom, languages, houses of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Hoa Lo prison also known as Maison Centrale, is a representative of the period of Vietnamese revolutionary struggle against the French colonists. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 12: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B,L,D) – by shuttle bus (B,L)

After breakfast , the shuttle bus will pick you up and depart for Ha Long Bay, go through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Ha Long Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town, embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Ha Long Bay. This exciting cruise will provide a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way, anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. Stay overnight on the Cruise.

Day 13: Ha Long bay – Ha Noi (B,L) by shuttle bus

Early morning sun risers can enjoy Tai Chi lesson on sundeck. Morning view of bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Have breakfast. Then, check-out and enjoy a fantastic cruise on the bay. Enjoy the lunch on cruise. 12:00 the cruise are landing Halong Bay harbor, tourist say goodbye to sailors and finish the cruise. Return to Hanoi by shuttle bus. Stopover in Hai Duong province to visit a ceramics workshop. You will arrive in Hanoi. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 14: Hanoi – Departure (B)

Breakfast and free time until time to go to the airport for departure flight. End services.
