Discovering Dark cave and Paradise cave in Phong Nha – Ke Bang

If you want to get adventurous and action-packed experience, you should try The Dark cave in Phong Nha – Ke Bang. When you visit this cave includes try to play zip-line over a turquoise river then swimming into the water of the cave (lifejackets must be wear). Besides, you can walk through the dark with the head torch on your helmet to light the way, trying a mud fight in the mud baths deep in the cave, washing clean with a swim in the lake inside the cave. After that rowing a kayak across the river to test your strength on the hanging obstacle course and open zip-line. The Dark cave is named as such because it is one of the few caves that has not lighting installed. The cave was created mostly by basalt and limestone. Basalt is a hard, black rock. It also contributing to the cave’s name. The Basalt is around you, you should get through the narrow and muddy passage using only your headlamps to light your way.

Paradise cave is one of the longest dry cave in Asia (It situated in Phong Nha – Ke bang National Park’s core zone). The naturally primitive features, Paradise Cave looks like a landscape drawing; it makes a natural wonder and opened in 2010. According to the cave explorers, the deeper one journeys into the cave, the more one feels the wells of heavenly clarity all around. The height of cave reach to 72 m and up to 150 m wide. There are a series of limestone deposits resembling natural pillars and many other spectacular formations.

07:45- 08:00: Car and tour guide of us will pick you in Dong Hoi and drive you to Paradise cave – the longest dry cave in Asia (located in Phong Nha – Ke bang National Park’s core zone). It is about 75 km from Dong Hoi with 1h20 minute drive). -OR – 8:45-9:10: The driver will pick you up at your hotel in Phong Nha village, then drive you to Paradise Cave – the longest dry cave in Asia (located in Phong Nha – Ke bang National Park’s core zone).

You will be taken by golf cart 1.6 km from the main gate through the jungle where you will climb to the mouth of the cave; a climb that boasts spectacular views of the mountainous region around the cave.

12:00: Having lunch at Dark cave restaurant. You will relax and try a traditional Vietnamese dish. Vegetarian always available. Please contact us if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to serve you.

13:00:  Moving to the the Dark cave (located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park). Beginning to try the many adventure activities: mud bath, ziplining, swimming, kayaking, adventure course, caving etc.

17:00  Coming back to Dong Hoi or Phong Nha village. Tour ends you will be returned and drop off at your hotels.


****Please remember to bring: swimwear and towel or other necessary things suitable for your trip.

Using the zipline requires you to be between 40-90 kg.
